As for Kane, missing one practice is not the end of the world. Hopefully, as the team develops, he matures and we are not talking about stuff like this next season.

am of the opinion that the sabres are stuck with Moulson for at least one more season...it won't kill them cap-wise to keep him on the books for next season

I agree and almost wrote that in my comment but you basically said that in the article and I didn't want to be a parrot.

On the flip side, Kane could become a perennial 50 goal scorer as the team develops and his ego could get even bigger.

Still, as long as it doesn't rub off on the younger players (not that he is old by any means) I wouldn't care. I can live with one guy with a larger than life personality. And even Kane has a ways to go before he gets there.

I like Moulson for his leadership with Eichel. I think it would hurt Eichel a lot of Moulson was traded right now.

He just needs to do SOMETHING on the ice for pete's sake.

Dang...

Buffalo takes 4 pts over the weekend and suddenly our chances of winning the draft go from 20% to 9.5%.

I really could careless if WPG, CLB, or even Calgary win the lottery... I just DON'T WANT EDM OR TOR!!!!

ef the Sens!

Cal Petersen has looked very solid in net for ND, .932 save%, 18-5-2 record with 2.06 GAA, on a very young Irish squad. ND was not ranked to start the season but they are now ranked 7th nationally and are leading Hockey East by 1 point over BC with each team having 4 games left. also Connor Hurley has also started figuring things out it seems. He has already surpassed his goal and point total from his freshman year and is a +10. Hurley is 6'2'' 190lbs, he still has some filling out to do but I still think he has a chance to become a NHL 3rd liner. There is my ND update if any were interesrted

Estephan seems to be having a good time of things as well. 63 pts in 51 games. A later round pick guy as well that may have some NHL potential. 11 picks in this draft. Things are looking up for the "cupboard".

Thought of something that made me feel better about the Evander situation. While I'm disappointed in his antics, but I bet Matt Moulson shows up right on time for every practice.

For those of you saying it's only been a couple of things so far (sex assault investigation, missing practice) that is the MO. It is 2,3, or 4 things a year, and that is only what makes it out.

I do hope he gets his head out of his arse but the pattern is not improving, even after a fresh start.

You either get it or you don't and you either want it or you don't. Right now he likes the wrong side of the lifestyle waaaaay too much!

I wish it worked here, believe me, not many guys have the tools he does. Just dissapoints way too often.

In the world where doing the right thing honestly in missing a practice because you admit you were too intoxicated to make it and being investigated for sexual assault in a case by his ex-gf which was dropped within a few hours if I remember right...

ahhhh... thank you for the clarification.

Just thought I'd leave this laugher here...

Aww... these guys are so hopeful in thinking these things will actually happen for them. I almost feel bad. Like all the Avs fans thinking Radulov is coming back to play for them this year.. oh wait.. no it'll be NEXT year for sure!!

You sound like every Jet fan who was waiting for him to "get it"..... believe me if he ever did, he's a #1 LW on the right team, right line.

Let's just say based on his entire off-ice history he would be getting a little more punishment.

His act will wear thin. Wishes he was in the NBA or the boxing game. Winnipeg and Buffalo both probably not big enough for him. Leaves both whenever possible. When he was here he skipped a player-organized x-mas dinner and went private jet to Las Vegas for 17 hours...again not life alterinig behaviour but has a cumulative effect.

So you're doing the right thing if you get poop canned and miss practice as long as you admit it?
